While we’re not saying you should leave your car on your drive and avoid taking trips in it, a lower mileage will get you more for your car. Consider this during its lifespan and take longer trips in other cars if possible.

The starting value will of course bare some importance on the end value of your car. Cars with a higher starting value will obviously be prone to a larger depreciation, but to some extent, they hold their value quite well. It all depends on the make, the model and the desirability.
